Welcome to St. Gregory the Great School! Great things are happening here!
If you’re looking for these characteristics in your child’s school, you need to check out St. Gregory School in Samuels, KY. Our goal at St. Gregory School is to provide each individual student an excellent academic program of instruction in an environment wherein spiritual development and deep understandings of our Catholic faith are enabled. A small school by design, we have a very strong commitment to nurturing our students’ unique talents in order to see their fullest potentials realized. St. Gregory School is a vital ministry of the Parish of St. Gregory. Since its establishment in 1924, our school has remained focused on those elements which prepare students to become responsible and self-motivated members of their church and their community. That commitment remains constant, despite the changes that are inevitable in this rapidly changing world. We currently serve approximately 140 students, in Pre-Kindergarten (3 and 4 year old classes) through grade eight. We offer our students a solid core curriculum in religion, mathematics, science, social studies, and language arts. That curriculum is augmented with instruction in choral music, physical education, computer skills, and various arts-related workshops for our students. The PeaceBuilders Program, a research validated violence prevention and character education program, is infused throughout our entire curriculum. Finally, we firmly believe that students, parents, and teachers working together enable students to be successful. Thanks for visiting our web site! Come visit us anytime. We are conveniently located on Highway 509 (Samuels Loop) just off of Highway 245, a few miles west of Bardstown, KY….close to several local industries and the recently nationally recognized Flaget Memorial Hospital.
