Building a Future of Hope Campaign
The Building a Future of Hope Bicentennial Campaign is a historic initiative in the life of the Archdiocese of Louisville. It is more than a capital fundraising campaign. It is designed to achieve the following primary goals:
- Deepen the spiritual life of parishes and parishioners through an enhanced prayer and stewardship formation process.
- Provide financial resources for the capital, endowed, and direct ministry needs of the parishes.
- Generate financial resources to address specific archdiocesan initiatives.
- Provide additional tuition assistance support for families with children in Catholic elementary and high schools.
Campaign Progress At Our Parish Community...
St. Gregory Parish – Town Hall #2
The second Town Hall meeting, whose goal was to continue developing our plans for the “Build a Future of Hope Campaign,” was held on Thursday, September 3. The group of parishioners who gathered agreed to take the next step in the process, which was to organize the needs/wants/dreams, collected during the first meeting, into distinct categories. After much discussion it was agreed by all present that the following “major” or “principal” categories could capture all of those suggestions and also allow our parish to continue the process of developing a focused “Case Statement” for the Future of Hope Campaign, as it will be carried out at Saint Gregory Church.
The next step will be for all of us look at each category and each item and decide as a parish what we want to pursue as a goal. We will ask you to join us on November 7th and 8th after each mass to “place a sticker” on what you think is most important for us to continue our growth and legacy at St. Gregory.
Of course, there is still much more work to be done to gather information about feasibility and costs for these projects but this will give all of us the opportunity to decide as a parish how we want to work going forward.
